Since 2015, our Donations Team has been organizing the collection and delivery of donated items in collaboration with refugee families and Madrid-based refugee welcome centers. Many refugees arrive to their new unfurnished accommodations with few belongings and several budgetary constraints. To support these individuals through a difficult and stressful transition, Madrid For Refugees offers essential items such as hygiene products, bed linen, clothing, cookware, school supplies – with most items provided by private donors, businesses and even schools. We have also launched a new initiative which allows interested parties to sponsor a refugee family with a welcome kit to ensure they have all the essentials when they move out of sheltered accommodation. These kits include important necessities, helping families get settled and comfortable, so they can focus on building their new life.
