Nómade LAB (Dance)

Nómade LAB is a free dance and movement laboratory created for migrants, asylum seekers, and refugees living in Madrid. Conceived as a space for exploration, care, and collective creation, the project invites participants to reconnect with their bodies as a place of memory, expression, and belonging.

Rather than focusing on technique or performance, Nómade LAB approaches movement as an open and inclusive language. Through guided sessions, participants are encouraged to explore movement at their own pace, release tension, express emotions, and build community in a safe and respectful environment. No previous experience in dance or movement is required.

Sessions take place at the Madrid For Refugees space (Metro: Puerta de Toledo) on Sunday afternoons (17:30–20:00).

Facilitator
The laboratory is facilitated by Nayara Romero (VJOLLK), a Colombian visual artist and performative dancer. Her artistic practice explores the body as a symbolic and expressive territory, combining contemporary dance, somatic practices, improvisation, and visual arts. Nayara’s work moves between the poetic and the political, creating spaces where authenticity, presence, and collective care are central.
