#ComeAportaAma: Valentine’s Day benefit food delivery experience

Madrid For Refugees is collaborating with No Solo Cultura and Refusion Delivery for an exciting benefit initiative this Valentine’s Day: #ComeAportaAma – eat, give, love!

This week, order a delicious Valentine’s meal with food good enough for two people from Refusion Delivery. The meal costs 48€ + delivery and comes with a bottle of ecological wine (2015) from Finca Tinedo, a sustainable candle from Bityah, and a keepsake bookmark with a QR code for a playlist put together by Fernando Ochoa aka La Sardina. 10€ from each order will be given to support Madrid For Refugees. Due to high demand, make your order at least a day in advance for delivery this week from Thursday (Feb 11) to Sunday (Feb 14)!

There are two options for the Valentine’s meal: amor carnal or amor vegano!

AMOR CARNAL

Starters

  • Tequeños: 2 Venuzuelan cheese sticks filled with cheese + 2 filled with cheese and guava
  • Ensalada fatush: Syrian salad made with fresh vegetables and a pomegranate dressing, topped with crunchy pieces of fried Arabic bread 

Mains

  • Shish: Syrian dish with a chicken skewer and vegetables, served with Arabic bread and rice
  • Kofta: Sudanese and Egyptian-style meatballs served with rice and peanut sauce

Desserts

  • Mahalabia: Sudanese vanilla rice pudding 
  • Makrota: Palestinian stuffed date pastry

Drink

  • Ecological red wine (2015) Cala N.2 from Finca Tinedo

AMOR VEGANO

Starters

  • Falafel: 4 Sudanese-Egyptian-style falafel balls made from garbanzos, parsley and onion, served with peanut sauce
  • Ensalada fatush: Syrian salad made with fresh vegetables and a pomegranate dressing, topped with crunchy fried Arabic bread 

Mains

  • Hurak bi isbau: Syrian dish made with lentils, bread dough and a delicious pomegranate dressing.
  • Musaka: Syrian dish with eggplant, mint and bell peppers in a tomato sauce. Served with rice.

Desserts

  • Makrota: Palestinian stuffed date pastry
  • Baklava: Syrian layered pastry filled with pistachios

Drink
