MFR thanks the company Elis for their donation

Madrid For Refugees (MFR) would like to give a big thanks to the company Elis for donating 50 complete sets of sheets, blankets and bath and hand towels for distribution to refugees, migrants and people at-risk of social exclusion. Elis is an international multi-service provider offering textile, hygiene and wellness solutions.

Elis’ donation will go towards welcome kits that MFR distributes every month to refugee reception centers in the city of Madrid and to other people in need of support. These kits provide necessities such as sheets and towels, as well as cutlery, dishes and hygiene products to help families with the essentials necessary to settle in their new home.

“This generous donation has already benefited more than 15 families in need and has been received with great appreciation and gratitude from MFR and the families in our network,” said Meredith Moore, MFR’s Donation Officer. “Having a complete and high-quality bedding and towel set will make people feel at home and comfortable during a time of change and uncertainty. Many refugees arrive in Spain with very few resources, and these donations are very important to help them start their new life.”

For Elis, “Collaborating with Madrid for Refugees not only gives us the opportunity to do our part and contribute to the wonderful work they do, but also allows us to extend the useful life of our products – in this case – our sheets, towels and blankets, thus reducing our environmental footprint. It is a real pleasure to be able to collaborate with a project that advocates for many people to start a new life.”
